Post B week 3

So, far in the book like I said Didi Johnson is having trouble with her brother because he starts to drink and smoke and what not and her mom finds out and Didi is all shocked and is like mama how do you know that Tony is doing all this and she's like who do you think he got is from. Her mom is like sweetie when I was young i would drink every single day and smoke non stop and i have for the past 20 some years and now you see what i look like and your brother you have to get him to stop because i know you know you don't want him turning into his mother and at this point her mother is still in the hospital because she's had a stroke and it's like her third or fourth one and Didi is really worried and doesn't know what do because Touchy is on her back non stop because he still wants to get at her for what she did and also Motown because he stop the two guys that Touchy assigned to beat up and he's out for her and Motown and her brother is even causing more problems because she's trying to save him but he's going into touchy direction and Didi is getting really pissed of about Tony's addictiona dnthen she got Motown on her back because its obvious that's he really likes her but Didi doesn't have time for that because she want's to get into a good college and he's kind of holding her back and she's not liking that and also stay tuned for next weeks blog...

Post B

Well so, far in the book it talks about Frank aka "Motown" the main character in the book....Couple things about him is he doesn't live in a house he lives in a abandoned building that was burned and then kind of cleaned up...He lives there because he doesn't like foster care programs and he parents died in a ferry that was on fire so he's a 18 or 19 year old living in a kind of burned up please but he goes by OK he's saved up about 400 hundred dollars because he's looking for a decent please to live one day but, he's those type of people who can't hold a job that well because, he just can't.
So, enough about him. The next character is Didi Johnson, she a 18 year old girl who's about to graduate from high school and has gotten a half scholarship to the University of Washington and her mom is kind of mad because she wants her daughter to stay here and take of the family and Didi doesn't want to do that because she wants to get her degree and get a good life for her mom and brother..Well her brother Tony Johnson on the other hand is the opposite of her all he wants to do is stay home and smoke and sell crack and what not and that's really hurting Didi and also, there's another character and his name is "Touchy" because he's the person in charge of selling drugs his parents have done and now he's doing it and it's causing Didi heartache.
So one day she decides to the cops and tell on her brother and touchy and doesn't wasn't a good thing to do because touchy finds out and he sends his right hand man Reggie and some other guy to handle his sister, and what these guys do is basically beat the living crap out of Didi and one of the guy is trying to get in her pants(just to let you know it 3 guys vs. Didi). So, as this is happening Motown comes running and sees what the problem and he sees the three guys beating the living crap out of Didi and he comes charging and beats all of them up and when Didi gets a chance she runs home and looks her self in the mirror and she's horrified about what happened...and she takes a shower. Then her brother shows up and tells her she's shouldn't butt in his business. and she's like don't talk to me don't' talk to me and she's yelling at him......and her brother is two years younger then her and he's this kid who has a big mouth and he never shut's up so....This is all happening and Didi is really pissed of she goes and sees if her moms in her room she checks on her and leaves without saying goodbye and that's where i am in the book....

Post A:week 7....

Vocab:
Verified: verb: To prove the truth of, as by evidence or testimony; confirm; substantiate: Events verified his prediction.(257).
Mural:noun: A large picture painted or affixed directly on a wall or ceiling. (264)
Quotes:
" Then you mucst reture a verdict of Guilty of felony murder'(264) This is where the judge is telling the jurying they need to return a verdict or guilty and what not.
Figurative Language:
"Mr. Evans also testified that when he arrived at the scene, he saw Osvaldo Cruz there. This testimony was verified by Mr. Cruz. Yes, I was there, Mr. Cruz testified. Yes, I was part of this robbery. We have three witnesses to the fact that James King was in the store on the 22nd of December: Mr. Evans, Mr.Cruz, and Ms. Henry."(257) This is a symbol because it's regarding to the witnesses.
"Mr. Evans testified that they did not have a guMr.n but intended to take Mr. Nesbitt's money by force of muscle. He said that Mr. Nesbitt Produced a gun that he owned. You heard the City Clerk testify that the gun used to kill Mr. Nesbitt was registered to him. Did the City Clerk, who verified Mr. Evan's testimony, get a break in the sentencing Of course not. Did the defense attack his character? No, the onlu thing they could do was sit and listen to the truth."(258) This is a Metaphor because it's regarding to someone.
" If you believe that Mr. King was a participant in the robbery, whether he actually pulled the trigger or not, you must return a verdict of Guilty. If you believe.........."(263) This is also a symbol because it's regarding to something and someone.

Post B: Week 6

Dear Steve;
Dude, your doing so wonderful so far no one's accusing you of anything and so far your in the safe box for now but, if i were you i would watch my back no matter what and also pay attention when your in court you tend to not pay attention so yeah that's all I got to say....so bye until next time.....
Yours truly Reemielicious.

Post A: Week 6

Vocab:
Precisely: (Adjective):240:definitely or strictly stated, defined, or fixed.

Paraded:(Noun):241:a large public procession, usually including a marching band and often of a festive nature, held in honor of an anniversary, person, event, etc.
Qoutes:
" The most impostant testimony, the reason we're here, is the Medical Examiner's statement that a murder was committed. A man is dead. But, nowhere in the Medical Examiner's testimony does he indicate who was responsible for that murder. That is for you to determine. It is an awesome responsibility. It was testified that the gun belonged to the victi. So we can't trace gun ownership back to the murderer. What can we trace as to the guilt or innocence of my client, Steve Harmon?(245). This where the prosceution and they are techiqucally trying to get BoBo Evans and Mr. KIng guilty and so far it's working.
Figurative Language:
" So what do we have? We have a man who admits to being part of a robbery accusing another man. And why is he making these accusations? The prosecution would have you believe that bringing Mr. Evans, this "bobo" character, here, is the result of good police work, which gives what a greaat citizen he is. But isn't the truth of the matter that the only reason he's here is because the police have him on a criminal matter, and have offered him a deal if he comes here and implicates someone else? Isn't that the real story? This is a symbol because it's regarding towards the criminals.(239)
" Does it really surprise anyone that a man is capable of robbing a drugstore , and he has admitted to ding just that, who then sells the loot for the robberym and he has admitted to that, and who is caught with drugs, and he has admitted to that-then tries to get a lighter sentence bu testifying against another person? Isn't his character, if you can call it character, clear? Hasn't he proven by hsi own admisssion who he is? what he is? this is a symbol because it's also regarding to someone too.(239)
" What i submit to you, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, is that Mr.Evans made the mistake of sellign the cigarettes he stole during to robbery. Did he do the shooting? I don't kow. But naturally he says he didn't do it. If he he sat up there on the witness stand and said he didnt he shooting, he would never be offered the deal he got. The only way out for him is to lolok around and find somebody else to accuse? And that's precisley what he did. He could have picked anyone else in the neighborhood. Half of the young men of that group are either unemployed or underemplyoed. He happened to Mr. King. It is a Metaphor and it's regarding to someone and accusing them.
